Fort Reno Video Released

The third episode of the Ghosts and Legends of Oklahoma video series has been released and covers a haunted strip of Route 66 through Oklahoma with an emphasis on Fort Reno, an old World War II prisoner of war camp. Cathy Nance and Logan Corelli of Society of the Haunted provide fantastic insight, and my investigator-in-training daughter who also works the cameras is featured.

New Book Deal Inked!

I've signed another book deal with Schiffer Publishing that I'm really excited about. Although they don't usually publish fiction, they are making an exception for a new book series called "Campfire Tales." These are essentially ghost story type tales you would tell around a campfire while roasting marshmallows, but the angle that has enabled this publisher to take on the project is that the tales are based off of local history or legends. Originally, if the project was given the green light I was going to take on the state of Oklahoma. However, I will now be taking on the entire Midwest region. I'm really excited about letting my creativity take off in these tales as well as researching about many other Midwest legends. Campfire Tales: The Midwest if slated for a Spring 2013 release.

New Examiner.com Articles

I've recently become an Oklahoma City paranormal "examiner" at Examiner.com, which is essentially their term for describing a local columnist for their web site. While my article will require a local Oklahoma flavor, I will be touching on a variety of paranormal subjects. Already I've written a spotlight on Society of the Haunted, touched on our "Monster in the Closet" episode on Animal Planet's The Haunted, featured our University of Oklahoma Ellison Hall investigation, and I've written some basics about paranormal photography and audio capture. Keep up to date on all new articles at: http://www.examiner.com/paranormal-140-in-oklahoma-city/michael-ricksecker

Paranormal Vines: Episode 2
